Lauren Ash Morgan, born in 1981, and a member of SSC's Board of Directors from 2011 she was one of the original co-artistic directors of Speech of Fire. As SSC's Artistic Directors, Ash-Morgan also held the positions as producer costumes/set designers, composers/music directors as well as text coaches. Though generally leading from within the acting ensemble at the end of her time, she made her debut as a director (and the lighting design) in the SSC's King Lear.
